I can tell that you had a caring and thoughtful mother who treated you with kindness while lovingly raising and teaching you. My own mother was angry, abusive, narcissistic and took every moment to cut me down and remind me that she never thought anything of me. Just thinking of living on the same _street_ as my mother makes my stomach hurt and my heart race. I still live in fear that she might knock on my door or try to get into my home. I hope that my daughters will want to continue to have a relationship with me when they grow up. I never want them to feel about me the way I feel about my mom.
